The Monument of Determination (Tượng Đài Quyết Tử)

The Monument of Determination (Tượng Đài Quyết Tử —Monument to the Dead in English), sometimes called the Martyrs Monument, is located in the Vạn Xuân Flower Garden near Hoan Kiem Lake, in front of the Pen Tower.

The Monument commemorates the fierce resistance against French colonialists in 1946. 

Erected to honor the “Capital Regiment,” it symbolizes the spirit of sacrifice for the nation’s survival.

Tuong Dai Quyet Tu Monument commemorates the resistance that lasted over 60 days, embodying the spirit of Hanoi’s soldiers and people. 

It features a national soldier and a Hanoi girl in a fighting stance, representing unwavering courage and determination.
